Meet The Team
John is a former Marine Corps Reconnaissance Officer and seasoned investment professional with deep experience in business growth, capital markets, and strategic leadership. Before founding Phalanx Group, he led corporate development at Atomic-6, an aerospace materials startup, where he helped scale operations and prepare for a multimillion-dollar capital raise. He previously served as Head of Partnerships at the Defense Innovation Unit and as an investment banker at RBC Capital Markets, advising on multibillion-dollar transactions across the industrials sector. John holds degrees from Harvard’s Kennedy School, Emory’s Goizueta Business School, and the University of Georgia.
A first-generation immigrant and shining example of the American Dream, Paola began her career busing tables and knowing little English. Over time, she leveraged her growing experience to greater and greater levels of responsibility, managing business operations for multiple 7-Eleven locations and later serving in leadership roles at Factset. Her path reflects extraordinary grit, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. At Phalanx Group, she is the operational backbone, driving execution with precision, managing systems complexity with ease, and ensuring no detail goes overlooked.
